Math by Thomas
About Thomas
Electrical professional for 24 years, trader since 2016, teacher at heart.
I am Thomas, from Neyveli, Tamil Nadu. I wanted to be a mathematics teacher since school. Life took me into engineering instead.
From 1992 I worked in electrical construction — rising to Electrical Superintendent — on oil & gas and power-plant construction projects across Qatar, Yemen, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Algeria, Russia and Nigeria, with companies such as Chiyoda, Hyundai and Petrofac.
I have traded NSE/BSE intraday since 2016. Since 2023 I build TradingView indicators in Pine Script, and I teach Auction Market Theory and Market Profile in Tamil under the name Math by Thomas.
How I work
- First principles. Start from how the auction works, not from indicator folklore.
- Test before teaching. Every rule is tested on years of 1-minute data, walk-forward, and on data the rule never saw.
- Falsifiable claims. If an idea fails the test, it is dropped — and the failure is recorded.
- Publish everything. Live results go out every week, losses included.
